Journaling for Flourishing

Journaling can be a wonderfully enriching way to focus on your wellbeing and flourishing.  Taking time to plan your week and also to reflect on what has happened can be hugely helpful.

There are different ways to journal and the key is 'there is no right and wrong way to do it'!  Journaling should be something that works for you in the way you need it to.  For some people using a method like bullet journaling offers a way to practically organise academic, professional & personal life.  Bullet journaling is very versatile and, with practice, can aid people in tracking habits, bringing gratitude to each day & planning those all important life tasks.  There is a lot of inspiration on sites like Pinterest & IG which can help people to explore their own bullet journaling style.

Here's some IG accounts which show different bullet journal inspiration;

For other people using journaling to write down & capture emotions, thoughts & ideas is something that needs little method - just space in the busyness of life to be reflective.  Simply taking time each day (or as regularly as possible) to 'offload' what's in your head & heart can bring real benefit to your overall sense of wellbeing.

We recommend giving exploring and playing with journaling if it's something you're drawn to.  Try not to get too stuck on how journaling looks as an end product, but concentrate on developing a way which aids you.  And have fun with it!
